How do I call someone using iChat?  iChat is a client that uses SIP, so I should be able to call them from Google Talk and they should be able to call users of other networks with GTalk2VoIP.

Any ideas?

Still looking for help.

Thanks!

Hello.

There's no way to call iChat from SIP, cause their SIP "dialect" is not the SIP widely used. But, we may come up with AIM voice support soon so you will be able to call to iChat too.

Regards,
Ruslan.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not sure if just a simple AIM-iChat audio conference works right now as it.  iChat and AIM have 2-way video conference capabilities and, of course, that includes audio, but I don't know if a plain audio-only chat works.

Anyone know or know a helpful AIM-for-PC user?

Hello.

iChat is based on AIM protocol (for audio and video). It also can do a very little of XMPP/Jabber, but there's no Jingle Audio implementaion like in Google Talk.

Regards,
Ruslan.

Yes, I realize iChat _uses_ the AIM the protocol, but iChat's Help documentation states, "AOL does not support audio chatting, however, if your videocamera and your buddy's videocamera have microphones, you will be able to hear each other in your video chat." That's what made me wonder.

No ideas what do they mean by that, but I'm sure that audio in iChat is based on AIM protocol.

Ruslan.
